The “Musical Edge” Workshop, June 2015
June 27, 2015 - June 28, 2015$295
In this workshop we will use musical theatre to discover and free our natural voice! Discover your edges of expression with acting, dancing and singing. This two day workshop is based on the Free Your Natural Voice methodology. All experience levels and beginners are welcome.
Free Your Natural Voice is a methodology of singing and voice coaching, as taught and developed by Maya Lewandowsky. This holistic approach uses the body as an instrument of breath and awareness, ultimately reshaping your voice and allowing it to find its most natural, fluid and powerful form. The Free Your Natural Voice method is for beginners, experienced singers, adults and children alike. Read more about this voice training and Maya Lewandowsky.
The Free Your Natural Voice workshop was an incredible experience. I felt that you eased us in slowly enough that I was able to feel comfortable enough, both in my body and through my voice, to sing in front of the group. The final voice exercise was a vocal experience unlike any I have ever had. It felt like an out-of-body experience – that my voice was not my own anymore. I loved it enough to continue taking lessons with Maya. — Belinda Fireman, Artist, Calgary.
A great experience for novice and experienced vocalists alike. Get grounded to learn how to be and speak as yourself with geuinine emotion. Now that’s singing your heart song! – Chris Perrotta, Calgary

More Workshop Testimonials
I sincerely recommend this the workshop for anyone. Singers and non-singers alike will deepen their relationship with their body and discover the freedom to allow their extraordinary natural voice to come through. – Tessa Partridge, Calgary
I am quite self-conscious about my singing voice, yet I wondered if it were possible to achieve some measurement of improvement. Maya incorporates movement with voice, which was a surprise for me, but it has the effect of subtly coxing hidden anxieties (related to singing) to the surface. It was a worthwhile and challenging workshop. – Bryan Gooding, Calgary
I attended this workshop with Maya about a year ago and was very impressed. The exercises and guidance that Maya supplied helped me find a range in my voice that I did not know was possible. Connecting with my voice really helped me to connect with my inner strength. I highly recommend this work. – Stephen Gilmour, Chef, Calgary
